I heard an interview with the author (Mark Reiter) on NPR. This sounds like a really fun book. If you like "top ten lists" - this is even better. By arranging candidates in brackets (and even composing regional tournaments), you can come up with many interesting ways of comparing and rating things.

Derek mentioned he's reading this. I think I have this at home - just haven't gotten around to reading it.

You must be Mike's friend before you can comment on this Fave.very cool - congrats Roy!!!
so, what exactly is this personality he speaks of? Do the puzzles insult you as you figure them out?
Sudoku with letters -> there are embedded word puzzles in each Sudoku (we have the galley proofs at home - you can try it out over thanksgiving).
If you look at the cover, there are circled squares and shaded squares. The circled squares give a clue to a person while the shaded squares are their name. If you figure out one or the other, it gives you a big jump on the Sudoku part of the puzzle. The writeup on Amazon gives a more complete example.
sounds like fun, i'm excited to give one a try.
When I was talking to Debbie, I realized that it's "Person-ality" - since the results of each puzzle is the name of a person.
