Last week was Froogle, now Google Homepage has a new name (iGoogle). What's with all this product renaming at google? At least this time they went from boring product name to a somewhat interesting one (though one that will draw some confusion with Apple product brands).

Google has just released some "social" features for Google Homepage. They invite users to create gadgets that they can share with their friends, to put on their own Google Homepages. I think this is a great idea ... I wonder how prevalent the use of Google Homepage is? This will make it more than just informational, but also help you stay in touch with your friends and what they are up to.
Not sure if these gadgets can be used anywhere else (google desktop, any web page, etc.).
