    Faves :: Firefox Add-ons

    I had to re-install the Faves Add-on when I installed Firefox 3 (RC). Not sure why my current add-on was not marked as "compatible".

      I still like the blue dot moniker better. It reminds me of the big blue planet. Faves reminds me of posh, too hoity-toity for me.

      I don't remember exactly when we changed our extension to check the official Mozilla site (as opposed to our site) for updates. It's possible the version you had predated this change.

      I forgot to ask Mohit how, if necessary, to reinstall the 'old' version of faves

      I believe you can install 1.0 (with the old branding) from here:

      Faves add-on: Problems with Firefox 1.5.0.12
      I was recently switched to a new Linux server which has an older version of Firefox. The current Faves Add-on installed fine & seemed to run O.K., but it trashed my right-click mouse menu, eliminating the "Copy" option for selected text-in-page.
      I just uninstalled it, and followed Mohit's instructions to get the old v1.0. No problem, easy to get and install. Works fine!
