I was thinking about making a Google Map of the places we've traveled. Now, I find that TripAdvisor has a very nice little application (using Google Maps, of all things - isn't this owned by Expedia?) that lets you click on city names at every level of detail on a world map. It will then create a pushpin at each location and make a nicely organized map you can browse by region.
This is WAY FASTER than I could have done this manually in Google Maps.
I've been to a lot of places (144 on my map so far - every one I've at least spent the night in)- and there are still so many we have yet to see.

Nice portrait. But it's NOT 7.5 square km - it's 7,500 sq meters. There's a big difference (1,000 times smaller).

New Google Maps feature - you can save a customized version with your own push pins. I've been wondering how long it would be before Google would support this rather than rely on 3rd party mashups.
