Bad move. Reminiscent of US training of Afghan troops to fight against the Soviets. Granted the corruption of the Pakistani government and military, this does not bode well for the future. Given several evidence of Pakistani military involvement with Taliban and Al Queda forces, a strengthening of the military without FIRST securing a stable government cannot possibly be a rational foreign policy move on part of the Bush Administration...this is discomforting to say the least.
Quoted: A plan would send about 100 American trainers to work with a Pakistani paramilitary force that is the vanguard in the fight against Al Qaeda.

Take that, advisory committee on ethnic diversity! Representative Rex Duncan said "most Oklahomans do not endorse the idea of killing innocent women and children in the name of ideology." Apparently it's okay to kill innocent men... Anyway, I'm willing to bet this guy has never even looked at a passage from a Quran. How offensive - the council's chairperson is a Muslim woman, and I think the legislators knew that.
Quoted: Several Oklahoma state lawmakers are returning donated copies of the Quran to a state panel on diversity after one lawmaker claimed the Muslim holy book condones the killing of innocent people.

That was not nice of Roddick.
1 FaverViewed: 8 TimesQuoted: That litany of health issues Novak Djokovic dealt with earlier in the week -- hip, ankle, stomach and more -- seemed a tad humorous to Andy Roddick. So Roddick joked about it, first by saying in an on-court interview it sounded as though Djokovic had "about 16 injuries," then by wondering aloud whether the problems might not also include bird flu, anthrax, SARS and a common cold. - Tennis news
