A pretty frightening story of a life spinning out of control through prescription drugs.
Quoted: Between the ages of 16 and 21, I was prescribed more than fifteen different stimulants, antidepressants, antipsychotics, and mood stabilizers. The cure was worse than the disease.

Stoked by Dr. Titrate’s little helpers, I hosted my own college radio show and called it “The ADD Hour.” Naturally, “The ADD Hour” lasted just nine minutes, and I played only the first eighteen seconds of every song.

In her Larry King interview, Paris flatly denied she has ever used drugs (other than her ADD medication, Adderall). This web page puts the lie to that claim with seven (!) different video clips of Paris talking about smoking pot, ingesting mushrooms, trying to buy Quaaludes, etc.
It's not like she has any reputation to protect - but her outright lying on national television is pretty brazen. Larry King is a DOPE for being DUPED and not calling her on it.
BTW: Why is an adult still being treated for ADD with Adderall? I'm betting she likes the fact that it helps her control her appetite.
Quoted:KING: Have you ever been addicted to drugs?
HILTON: No.
KING: Taken drugs.
HILTON: No.
KING: Never taken drugs?
HILTON: No.

I just watched the Frontline on methamphetamine abuse again. A really good show that examines the whole distribution system that enables meth production.
A striking feature of the show is the physical deterioration of most heavy meth users. They never explain why this is so prevalent. Are they just so busy getting high that they neglect their health?
This page explains some of the health problems that chronic meth users face - many of them seem to stem from meth's effect of restricting the blood flow to various parts of the body.

The reasons why Narconon Vista Bay is so successful is because they are using the ‘Suana Program’ and not the ‘Cold Turkey’ style which is still being practiced by most of our rehab centres here. At Narconon, they will bring the person back to the way they were before when they have not even has anything to do with drugs.

That was not nice of Roddick.
1 FaverViewed: 8 TimesQuoted: That litany of health issues Novak Djokovic dealt with earlier in the week -- hip, ankle, stomach and more -- seemed a tad humorous to Andy Roddick. So Roddick joked about it, first by saying in an on-court interview it sounded as though Djokovic had "about 16 injuries," then by wondering aloud whether the problems might not also include bird flu, anthrax, SARS and a common cold. - Tennis news
