Looks like a fun course, and you can do most of it online here with access to lecture notes and assignments.

Unfortunately, MIT does not have it's introductory courses online in video format. But, my FAVORITE class at MIT is up here - and in my mind the CORE course for computer science.

The only drawback - it's Real Media video format so you have to download their spammy player.

Not to be outdone by Stanford, MIT has been sharing their online course material on the web for YEARS.... this page has all the CS and EE courses.

(well, they are kind of being outdown by Standford, whose online courses include the introductory ones on video, AND they are in multiple video formats including YouTube).
