The dirty under-belly of SEO marketing. Here someone is looking to create a bunch of fake accounts on social networking sites (including faves.com).
Note, we aggressively remove any obvious SEO SPAM accounts from Faves.com. I don't really see why they bother - we mark all outbound links as nofollow, so they won't get any search engine credit by having a bookmark on Faves.

Social Poster is an SEO tool. I would say it is mostly "mis-used" - i.e., people are trying to game search engines by getting inbound links.
Of course, Faves.com uses "nofollow" links - so there is NO SEO benefit to bookmarking on Faves.com. But many SEO people are not sophisticated enough to realize this. So we are constantly having to remove spammer accounts.

It's time to put your phone numbers on the Do Not Call Registry again. The first time around - the numbers expired in 2 years. This time, they will be held for 5 years (or longer depending on congress).
Good idea to put cell phones on here too. The only restriction on telemarketers with regards to cell phones is that they cannot use automated dialers to cell phones.
I'm also adding my Grand Central and Vonage numbers to the registry.

Intelius offers a very inconvenient and temporary means of opting out of their database. They imply their information is coming from PUBLIC records - I don't believe it. I think they are also buying databases from other merchants and data mining personal information to assemble personally identifiable information on us without our permission.

Anyway, this form will allow you to report a problem with the spam blockers at Comcast.

This article describes how to integrate DSPAM with embedded ClamAV into a mail server based on Postfix featuring virtual users and domains, i.e. users and domains that are in a MySQL database. DSPAM is a scalable and open-source content-based spam filter. The setup shown here is suitable for Debian Etch servers.
