Several competing commenting systems now floating around the web. Disqus can do javascript-only integration, so it's not limited to Wordpress and Moveable Type (as sez-who is).

JS-Kit has been building some pretty usefull client-side widgets to promote user interaction on any website, without have to install additional server software. I like this model - now they've released a new scoring (think Digg) widget for content.

They also claim they will announce some publisher partnerships soon.

Zach found this interesting net-vibes like personal start page - but it knows how to log in to several of your web services and show you a summary of your different accounts all on one page.

Samples of the mPoria shopping widgets. Will people like shopping inside a little window? These shopping pages were designed for phones - so they can fit on a larger web page and allows the user to shop for stuff without ever leaving the page. Could be cool.
