Quoted: For a while I’ve been tinkering with an idea of publishing a Seattle Blog Rank like the Startup Index, except is just too hard to find a good measure of what a blog rank is. While I keep thinking on that problem I decided to put together a list of top entrepreneurs and bloggers from Seattle. All of these blogs are written by people that have their hands dirty building companies and are mostly about that.

My friend just left MS to co-found this company. Looks like they help you deploy Office Communications Server (OCS) and Exchange.
Quoted: Helping you deploy the world's leading platform for Unified Communications.

RescueTime (our neighbor at StartPad) gets a mention in the New York Times. No hyperlink, unfortunately.
Quoted: A typical information worker who sits at a computer all day turns to his e-mail program more than 50 times and uses instant messaging 77 times, according to one measure by RescueTime, a company that analyzes computer habits. The company, which draws its data from 40,000 people who have tracking software on their computers, found that on average the worker also stops at 40 Web sites over the course of the day.

Congrats to Ben and team. And, it is smart of them to recognize the SEO benefit of integrating at the server level instead of at the browser level.
Quoted: That allows the wiki to be created at the server level, not simply rendered in the user’s browser like most widgets. The idea is a pretty straightforward way to go about doing this, but has significant SEO benefits for the partner because the wiki content is embedded directly into the HTML of the website.

Quoted: I recall there was a study done at MIT years ago that looked at the number of founders and success of startups as measured by revenue 1 and 2 years after founding. It turns out that the success of your start up is directly correlated to the number of founders up to 4 and then it starts to decrease.

Congrats Mikhail!
Quoted: The online personal shopper ClayValet has updated its look as well as added some new features to improve the user experience. With Mother’s Day quickly approaching, asking someone a question like “what do I get my 86-year-old, technophobe grandmother”, could come in handy, and ClayValet offers up actual people to give you suggestions as opposed to some sort of automated algorithms.

I came across this article while I was browsing the physical Seattle Magainze and noticed that it features Marcelo.
Quoted: Marcelo Calbucci could be raking in big bucks at Microsoft—fine-tuning the tech behemoth’s Internet strategy between cappuccinos and occasional workout breaks at the nearest campus health club. But three years ago he left this job and its accompanying work life.

Our position is unchanged -- although the companies directly above and below us are now different. Farecast presumably will soon be off the list since it was recently acquired.

This post has links to all of Sampa's press.
Quoted: The big news is actually two news items and is pretty big for all people involved with Sampa. First, we closed a $1M financing round with several local and Bay-area angel investors. Second, and most importantly, we released the version 2 of our product that will make a dramatic change to our engagement, stickness and viral rates.
