PEG is PE/growth projections. The thing to consider is that these companies could miss their growth projections, especially if the economy tanks.
Quoted: So the next stop is the "middle 20". These are publicly traded web technology stocks with a market cap over $1 billion. In our analysis below, more than half have a PEG below 1.0, which tends to signal "bargain opportunity" to investors. (caution: of course that is only a starting point for analysis, there could be some real dogs in there).

Some good, albeit depressing-if-you're-a-large-site, data here. These eCPM numbers are much lower than we see.
Quoted: The overall trends you pick up from the report are not that surprising. For instance, the improved monetization of small websites is because they have more focused content, which presents more targeted advertising opportunity.

It all sounds trivial, but a few cents here and there multiplied by hundreds of millions of users soon add up. The ringtone from a hit song, “Mice Love Rice”, generated over $10m in sales in 2005, for example. And, regarding online communities:
Quoted: Often, says Mr Ji, the members of these communities are people who, because of the single-child policy, have no siblings and are searching for virtual friendships.

This numer is actually higher than I thought.
Quoted: Similarly, surveys by Yankee Group, a Boston research firm, show that only 13 percent of cellphone users in North America use their phones to surf the Web more than once a month, while 70 percent of computer users view Web sites every day.

These adoption numbers seem ridiculously high. Will look into them more closely later.
Quoted: Avenue A | Razorfish surveyed 475 consumers across "all demographics" in July. The findings show the usual divide between what the loud techno-elite minority cares about, as compared to the quiet mass-consumer majority:

Quoted: A leading Indian technology college is switching off internet access to try and get its students involved in a bit of real-world socialising.

The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) in Mumbai (Bombay) will turn off hostel students' free internet access from 11pm until 12.30pm. Authorities hope the decision will get students talking to each other again. Mumbai has 13 undergraduate hostels.ShareViewed: 1 Time

You must be Mohit's friend before you can comment on this Fave.i'd be interested to hear what you decide. i've been thinking about doing the same but have not investigated it at all ...
i know amit got this (not to replace his home service) - he is the only person i know so far...
how is amit liking it?
Looks like pricing is better than comcast's and competitive with dsl. If you factor in the $75 certificate you get w/ a 2 yr plan and the first 2 months that are only $1, your monthly payment for comcast speed wireless access (incl modem but not incl fees and taxes) is about $30/mo over a 24 month period. Sounds like a good deal to me.
They changed the deal they had a few days ago. Now, you have to sign a 2 year contract and pay them annually (vs. monthly) to get the really good monthly savings for the first 3 months. Otherwise, they just give you your $75 cert and $10 off/month. Still a good deal, just not as good as before.
