Quoted: But this quick analysis misses a number of hybrids' other economic benefits.
...
For starters, hybrids are holding their value better than non-hybrid cars. This means that, even if you don't recoup the extra cost of the hybrid in gas savings, you're likely to get more money out of the car when you decide to sell it.ShareViewed: 8 Times

Not looking good for the U.S. automakers. What's especially troubling is that Toyota is starting to eat into the full size pickup market -- the last segment dominated by the Big Three.
Some of the latest offerings, especially from Ford (the Ford Fusion), are competitive. But, it might be too late to change perceptions.
Quoted: Over the first three months of the year, Ford's U.S. market share stood at 15.4 percent, behind GM's 22.9 percent and Toyota's 15.6 percent. DaimlerChrysler came in fourth at 13.8 percent and Honda placed fifth, at 9.1 percent.

Toyota's made the RAV4 much bigger. Not only is it 14.5 inches longer, but it also features an optional 269 horespower V-6. I think Toyota should have given it a new name, however. People associate the RAV4 with a cute "baby" SUV -- which it isn't anymore.
Quoted: Redesigned for 2006, the third-generation RAV4 is significantly larger than its predecessor, measuring 14.5-inches longer and 3.2-inches wider. It is now only slightly smaller than the midsized Toyota Highlander.
