Amazon.com: Dirty Rotten Scoundrels: DVD: Steve Martin

Great movie. Both Michael Caine and Steve Martin make great con men. The musical score is also quite good.

Quoted: The story revolves around a simple American con-man (brilliantly played by Steve Martin) who specializes in charming wealthy women out of whatever charity he can manage to swindel. That is, until he stumbles on to the master (Michael Caine), a suave ultra-swank European who doesn't go for the fast buck, but rather for the slow millions.
    ...
The difference in their styles, as Martin invades Caine's comfortable European playground (and then ultimately decide to work together) make for extreme comedy. However, not the Jim Carrey slapstick that's been so popular lately, rather, this is infinitely more subtle in it's buildup, but "net net" as funny as most of the best contemporary comedy out there.

Talladega Nights: The Ballad of Ricky Bobby (2006)

Just watched this, and it was tons of fun -- nothing more & nothing less!

Quoted: #1 NASCAR driver Ricky Bobby (Ferrell) stays atop the heap thanks to a pact with his best friend and teammate, Cal Naughton, Jr. (Reilly). But when a French Formula One driver (Cohen), makes his way up the ladder, Ricky Bobby's talent and devotion are put to the test.

    Amazon.com: Legally Blonde: DVD

    Surprisingly entertaining film. Highly recommended.

Quoted: If you've ever doubted how much a star can carry a movie, look no further than Legally Blonde, Robert Luketic's pop fluff about a sorority girl who becomes the reigning brain at Harvard Law School. The film tries way too hard to be pop fluff, but thankfully it also understands the comic glories of Reese Witherspoon. As Elle Woods, the supposedly dimwitted heroine, Witherspoon gives a high-wattage performance that somehow comes across as both lusciously cartoonish and warmly human.

    Amazon.com: Napoleon Dynamite: DVD

just saw this. i wasn't sure if you're supposed to laugh at the geeks in the "comedy" or to empathize with them. but, that's what made the movie intriguing.

Quoted: The result is a curiously uneven film, hilarious at times, but hampered by its own sense of affectionate mockery. An audience favorite at the Sundance film festival, Napoleon Dynamite may not be entirely lovable, but it's definitely unique.
