Djokovic just beat Federer in straight sets. Will Federer be able to win two more majors and tie Sampras's record, or is Federer's reign over?
Quoted: MARK Woodforde ignored world rankings and grand slam experience yesterday to explain why Novak Djokovic can win the Australian Open - the fear factor.

Given how easily Gonzalez had taken out his previous opponents, I thought he would have a chance against Federer. And indeed, Gonzalez had two set points in the first set. But, ultimately, shot for shot, Federer always seemed to have an answer.
If Federer can win the French Open and surpass Pet Sampras in the Grand Slam department (Federer has 10, Sampras had 14), he is unquestionably the best player of all time.
Quoted: Roger Federer wins his third Australian Open and 10th Grand Slam title with victory over Fernando Gonzalez.

I see the writer's point - this definitely makes men's tennis more interesting to watch for sure. But I don't know that I'd really call Nadal a 'defensive' player - he really seemed to be dictating most of the shots in the Wimbledon final...
1 FaverViewed: 4 TimesQuoted: Remember the early 2000s when men's tennis became almost unwatchable—booming serves, points that ended before you blinked, rackets blasting serves 130 miles an hour? With Rafael Nadal dethroning 5-time Wimbledon champion Roger Federer, that no longer applies. Defense now reigns supreme.
