What can't politicians say things so succinctly? If Obama could just hammer home these five points consistently (to back up his abstract change message), I think more people would connect with him.
Quoted: You can't do anything if you try to do everything. But if you focus on a few big things, you can change a lot.

I agree. The speeches last night were solid. Let's hope that Barack himself delivers tonight.
Quoted: Last nights democratic convention was exciting and smart. I thought Bill Clinton redeemed himself for some of his foibles during his wife's campaign. His speech framed up the election and the case obama needs to make to the public. Beau Biden speech was emotionally moving to the point that I teared up at the same time Michelle Obama did (how much was that tear worth?).

The poll also found Obama expanded his lead over Clinton in the Democratic race to 26 percentage points, doubling his advantage from mid-April as Democrats begin to coalesce around Obama and prepare for the general election battle with McCain.

Quoted: RHETORIC: “[Obama] was cautious — even on the Iraq war, which he had opposed as a Senate candidate, he voted against the withdrawal of troops. He proposed a drawdown only after he was running for president and polls showed voters favoring it.” [New York Times, 3/9/08]

It is also about age and mobility. Older, less mobile people are less likely to spend the two hours in a caucus.
Quoted: The caucus system also works to Obama's advantage.

"It takes significantly more enthusiasm to go in a caucus for two hours, and his backers seem to be more enthusiastic," said Barreto.
