I wouldn't quite say I grew up on PC Magazine the way I grew up on the Cosby Show or Bon Jovi. Nonetheless, I was a fan of PC Magazine for quite awhile.
Quoted: PC Magazine may have simply fallen out of touch with that Early Adopter/Influencer crowd that I enjoy being a part of. Sad. Unfortunately, this is a relatively common occurrence in Bangladesh with the a) low-lying land, b) proximity to water, and c) incredibly dense population (150M people in a space smaller than Iowa).

“Yes, I [Roosevelt] can’t believe that we can fight a war against fascist slavery, and at the same time not work to free people all over the world from a backward colonial policy.”

Quoted: Though the story may be apocryphal, Adams is supposed to have been the first President to give an interview to a woman. Adams had repeatedly refused requests for an interview with Anne Royall, the first female professional journalist in the U.S., so she took a different approach to accomplish her goal. She learned that Adams liked to skinny-dip in the Potomac River almost every morning around 5 a.m., so she went to the river, gathered his clothes, and sat on them until he answered all of her questions.

Quoted: Howard Zinn infuses the often-submerged voices of blacks, women, American Indians, war resisters, and poor laborers of all nationalities into this thorough narrative that spans American history from Christopher Columbus's arrival to an afterword on the Clinton presidency.

Here's the definitive list. GR isn't in the top ten; it's 30th. Obviously, faulty data. At least we have this going for us: "unusually high voter-participation." Minneapolis is 4th, Eunice. But there is Brett Favre...
