I'm dotting this because I like this movie, but also because this site has "Dot This" links with every movie. ITalkies is like netflix for bollywood movies.
Quoted: Meet Munnabhai [Sanjay Dutt] and his sidekick Circuit [Arshad Warsi]. With hearts of gold and innocent antics, the two may just be the right people in the wrong profession - that of 'dadagiri'. But neither the world nor are they complaining! That is until our Munnabhai encounters a trouble. A trouble that goes by the name of love. And the girl with whom he is besotted is someone whom he has never seen. She is 'Jhanvi' [Vidya Balan], a radio DJ with a beguiling voice. Complications arise when Munna poses as a professor to win her heart.

Just watched this with the family. Definitely worth watching. Good message in an entertaining film. Also, this wikipedia article (minus the spoilers) is worth reading.
Quoted: As Gandhi guides Munna Bhai to cultivate a new life based upon Gandhism, particularly non-violence and truth (which Munna Bhai calls Gandhigiri), all of the characters in the film are eventually influenced by this new perspective.

Lage Raho Munna Bhai was also screened in the United Nations auditorium on 10 November 2006, making it the first Hindi film to be shown there. The film was introduced by Shashi Tharoor, United Nations Under-Secretary General for Communications and Public Information. Rajkumar Hirani, Abhijat Joshi and "Lucky Singh" actor Boman Irani entertained questions afterwards. Lage Raho Munna Bhai was well received by the audience of diplomats and journalists as it was "an evening that had started with massive security arrangements in the sombre UN setting, [and] concluded in a festive atmosphere in the lounge of the UN with diplomats from other tables joining in raising a toast for the film." If I could give this 3.5 stars, I would. The first half of the movie is way too slow -- but the acting and beautiful photography keep it bearable. The second half (following the nightclub scene with a great jazzy song) is much more interesting. The characters are relatively deep for a Bollywood movie -- with most of them having both "good" and "bad" sides.
Quoted: I found "Parineeta" to be the most satisfying Hindi film I've ever seen. Sure, the plot is rehashed formula (rich jerk tries to steal house from lowly neighbor, his son falls in love with their daughter, complications ensue). But the subtle handling of the script, the fine acting, the gorgeous photography all take it to a different level of art. The songs are good ("Yeh Hawarein" is my favorite) and the ending is handled exactly right -- it's dramatic without being a parody.
