Quoted: Here's an experiment in keepings things small and confined to one Javascript file. There are no external image files or anything, everything is rendered with Javascript using either canvas elements or old fashioned div-making tactics (for IE). The sprites are stored in custom encoded strings in a format that only allows 4 colors for each sprite but in turn only takes up around 40-60 bytes per sprite.

Who says Nintendo just serves the younger demographic?
Quoted: In 2007, UVM graduate Ethan Bechtel came across an article describing the positive affects of the Nintendo Wii with the elder population. After witnessing his own grandfather live at a nursing home, Ethan decided to contact his younger brother Nate, and the two developed WiiSeniors to create a fun environment at these homes.

Pretty amazing that Nintendo is valued higher than such a seemingly diversified company as Sony.

Ran into this game when I was looking at a site of old Commodore 64 games. It looked almost exactly like Super Mario Brothers, so I wanted to figure out what was up...
Quoted: With a tag-line of 'The brothers are history!', Rainbow Arts was less than subtle in addressing the striking similarities between the two titles. I mean, take the game's friggin' name: The Great (Super) Giana (Mario) Sisters (Bros). They might as well have called it Screw You Nintendo, We Stole Your Stupid Game. But what really got Nintendo's attention was that this copycat game didn't actually suck; instead of fading away into video game obscurity, Giana Sisters was released to very favourable reviews and it began to sell quite well.
