Going to try this out for lunch. Didn't even know there was a South Indian restaurant in Seattle.
Quoted: If Tom hadn't for sent me an email, I'd have never set foot in Chili's. But he knew that. "Never in a million years would you walk into this place," he wrote, describing a shop that "looks like a sketchy package-store on the Ave." One open every day but Sunday from 9 a.m. till 11 p.m., selling "tube socks, Kool cigarettes and bad wine." He failed to mention the incense, candy and phone cards, or the gyros, tacos and French fries. Because that's not why you should go to Chili's. This is why:

This is right next to the new Vivace.
Quoted: The Dilettante Mocha Cafe and Chocolate Martini Bar had its opening night yesterday, in its new location on the retail floor of the new Brix condos at the north end of Broadway. It's cozied up next to the new Vivace Roasteria. This is the pastry case, from which all good things emanate. Besides desserts, they also serve lunch and dinner. We were struck by the appearance of meatloaf on the menu. Maybe it comes with a truffle on the side.

One of my favorite brunch places in the Seattle area. Went here today after kayaking at Entai Beach in Bellevue.

Since, it's across from the Ritz Diner you can pre-clog your arteries with fried diner food before coming here for dessert.

Late night unhealthy food that hits the spot. They're open till 2:30 am.
Quoted: The "battered and fried" section includes $5.50 catfish, $7 lingcod and albacore tuna, $4 smelt, $8 sturgeon and $9 halibut. My favorite was the sturgeon, which walloped the halibut on taste and texture. All come with fried preserved lemon, a garnish so good I could eat a full order of it. The fish comes ready to travel on two skewers with a respectable helping of cabbage slaw and a sauce.

Must make stew...
1 FaverViewed: 2 TimesQuoted: This is a marvelous autumn potluck dinner. Everyone will be very impressed with this thick beef stew made and served in a pumpkin shell! Use a 10 to 12 pound pumpkin; be sure not to overbake!
