Read about this guy in "The 4-Hour Workweek". He financed his Olympic gold metal run by starting some IT companies.

However, Wikipedia is not too gung ho about his actual businesses:

Quoted: The brothers originally got involved in IT business to help fund their skiing careers. A number of computer security companies have advisories about the companies, indicating that they distribute browser-hijackers and spyware.[1][2] Begg-Smith has been reluctant to talk to the media about them following his gold medal win, stating that their business was technology and it was up to ad customers to decide what type of ads they wished to run.

    Breckenridge - Colorado

Just finished our first day of snowboarding at Breckenridge. Spent most of the day on Peaks 8 and 9. This was the first day where snowboarding really 'clicked' for me..and I had tons of fun.

Will checkout the town later. Seems like the town is better than that of most ski resorts.

Stevens Advantage Cards . Stevens Pass

It looks like they have a 2-pack advantage card for $104+tax. The regular lift ticket is around that price (too lazy to dig up exact price), so you are basically getting a discount for the rest of year without having to pay for any premium on the advantage card. The only thing is you need to find a friend to do this deal with since it's 2-pack.

SnowboardingTips.com - Article: Snowboarding for Alpine Skiers

I snowboarded for one season and then switched back to skiing. After a decent snowboarding session today, I'm wondering if I should make snowboarding my alpine activity once again.

Quoted: Snowboarding is easier on the knees than skiing. After long days of hard skiing my knees get so sore I can hardly walk. Snowboarding does ...
