I just noticed we're mentioned -- but with our old name, Blue Dot -- in this Yahoo News article about Microsoft's social bookmarking tool.
Quoted: Among the more popular social bookmarking services that have sprung up are Reddit, del.icio.us and Digg. Other popular entrants include Blue Dot and Diigo.

Some feedback for us from the Firefox add-on site.
Quoted: The Faves service itself is very good. Great page design with a good selection of features. As far as the add-on is concerned, I don't like that I can't hide the Faves.com menu and I would like to see features added that allow me to see how many faves a particular site has in real time (as I'm surfing) and also allows me to rate up or down a site as I surf.

In podcast #89, the broadcaster talked about how he uses del.icio.us to store his research for each episode.

One of our officemates shared this social bookmarking site with us. They're apparently shooting a movie as they build the product and company.
Quoted: Without a profile, you are enjoying only a small fraction of what Linkspank has to offer you.

1. Interaction with your friends. On Linkspank, friends are more than just a list of faces on your profile - they are people who you share content with.
2. Better stuff. With a profile, you get personal recommendations from your friends - and from Linkspank.

IBM's enterprise social bookmarking...
Quoted: Dogear exploits the enterprise by allowing people to bookmark pages within their Intranet. In addition it uses enterprise directories to authenticate the user's identity. This allows people to find experts on specific topics within the company. For example, a employee looking for someone knowledgeable in Java can look at the dogear "java" tag to see who has been bookmarking pages around that topic. Dogear will also show tags associated with "java," which may help to refine the search. Once users have found a potential expert, they can see that person's bookmarks, internal blog, and contact information. This form of expertise location helps spur collaboration and sharing of resources within the company.

Quoted: The company, which recently raised a $3.5 million Series A round from Gabriel Venture Partners and Startup Capital Partners, has signed up Honeywell International Inc. and others to place a Connectbeam appliance into whatever existing Intranet search service the company uses. That way when users search a corporate Intranet, they will also find recent bookmarks and project notes from colleagues anywhere in the company, and anywhere in the world.
