Vancouver Plus.ca - Bars & Restaurants - Ajisai Sushi Bar

We ordered a 24-piece order of spicy rolls (8 scallop, 8 tuna, 8 salmon) for $10 CDN and a seafood salad for $8 CDN. Everything was high quality. I'd image it gets crowded on Friday and Saturday nights.

Note: They do take credit card even though this site says otherwise.

Quoted: Ajisai Sushi isn’t found on a busy road or one that most pedestrians walk past. Instead, it’s hidden away in a small pedestrian passageway beautifully decorated with tiles, flowers and wooden benches.

Great sushi, prices, and atmosphere. Also, our group of 4 was able to just walk in on a Friday night. Service is friendly but a little slow.

Quoted: Ravenna spot offers fresh sushi and sashimi along with traditional Japanese dishes including teriyaki, udon, yaki soba and fried rice.

Chopsticks - Pan Asian and Sushi Seattle, Capitol Hill | Yelp

This place is one block down the hill from Shinka's and Cafe Metropolitan.

I had the Singapore Noodles, and they were great. The dish had good flavor, moist chicken, and thankfully was not greasy. Also, it was a lot of food for $8.

Quoted: Chopsticks - Pan Asian and Sushi Reviews - "This location has turned over a few times... The old Jo Jo's Teriyaki is no longer after three different owners. (Side Note - The first Jo Jo's was the best.... the others left a lot to be desired)The…

    Sushi Maki

Ordered from here last night and scanned the menu here:
    http://picasaweb.google.com/mohitsriv/Menus

The spicy tuna roll was great -- 8 large pieces, very spicy, and just $4.95. The sashimi was good, too. But, each piece was $2. They only take cash.

Quoted: Sushi Maki Reviews - "One heavy ass bag of sushi to go please. That will pretty much be your order at this teeny tiny sushi bar - they have about 50-60 different rolls for you to choose from all organized neatly by cooked, raw, and spicy. The…

    Kozue (Seattle Weekly)

The price, atmosphere, service, and the fish were all great. Can't ask for more out of a sushi restaurant.

Quoted: Kozue, which has developed a following for its remarkable quality-price ratio, offers mostly staples—fairly unadventurous nigiri and rolls, tempura, teriyaki, and Japanese fried chicken and pork.

Nijo Sushi Bar & Grill - Eat. Drink. Save Money.

went to this post alley restaurant yesterday evening for happy hour. great food, great atmosphere, friendly service. the only downside is that service is really slow -- so only head here if you're not in a rush.

    Recommended by a friend.

Quoted: I wanted to open a Japanese restaurant that would transcend the traditional way of presenting and thinking of food from my country. Furthermore I wanted to do this in a way that wouldn't send my customers into debt.

I actually think I've been here before but don't remember the food. Everybody says it's great -- so I'm tagging it "TODO".

Quoted: Moving on to the sushi: The eel arrived in such generous portions, I feared for my dignity. Fortunately the eel melted neatly in my mouth. ...

Award-Winning Oceanfront Dining at its Best
Located at Whalers Village on famous Kaanapali Beach, Hula Gril Kaanapalil features award-winning oceanfront dining at its best.

Reminiscent of a 1930s Hawaiian beach house, Hula Grill Kaanapali features a nostalgic setting characteristic of the style conceived by renowned island architect C.W. Dickey. Its beachfront location combined with its warm koa wood walls, collection of hula girl figurines, antique koa canoes and Hawaiian memorabilia evoke memories of a more romantic Hawaii.

Adding to the feeling of an old Hawaiian home is Hula Grill Kaanapali's own private beach, the Barefoot Bar, where diners sit with their toes in the sand at tables placed beneath palm-thatched umbrellas.
