There are two Stumptown locations in Capitol Hill. Rumor is the owner has a beef with the Vita owner. Hence the two Stumptown locations are equidistant to Vita. Looks like the 12th and Madison location is the bigger of the two -- with two stories.
UPDATE: I'm not a fan of the 12th and Madison location...too industrial.
Quoted: I was elated when I found out Stumptown was coming to Seattle! I went to Stumptown religiously when I lived in Portland. This is the best coffee in the Seattle! The second best is Tutta Bella in Columbia City for their pulled espresso, reminds me of espresso I had in Paris mmmmmmh and third is El Diablo for fun atmosphere and mexican chocolate mochas!

I recently realized by Internet problems were actually due to slow throughput of my Belkin router.
This Linksys router is rated highly on Amazon and Newegg and is apparently more stable than the regular VxWorks-based WRT54G.
Quoted: Linksys last month switched the standard model of its ubiquitous WRT54G wireless router from Linux to VxWorks, starting with the "series 5" version. Now, Linksys is shipping a Linux-based WRT54GL model that it says it created specially for Linux hobbyists, hackers, and aficionados. The L version is identical to the "series 4" WRT54G units that Linux hobbyists have long enjoyed hacking, according to the company.

Was talking about this with my friend last night. He's doing his phd thesis on a new wireless technology. Amazing something seemingly so fragile works so well...
Quoted: In the GSM system, the synchronisation of the mobile phones is achieved by sending timing offset commands from the base station which instructs the mobile phone to transmit earlier or later. This compensates for propagation delay as the speed of radio waves are the same as light (finite). The mobile phone is not allowed to transmit for its entire timeslot, but there is a guard period at the beginning and end of the timeslot. As the transmission moves into the guard period, the mobile network adjusts the timing offset to re-center the transmission.

The hack is to run Windows Live Messenger in Windows Vista compatibility mode in Windows 7 in order to move WLM icon back to system tray.
