Vidya and I just saw these guys play at Victrola. They were amazing. Picked up their CD. This is a good description of their style...
Quoted: Casey MacGill's Blue 4 Trio performs music that swings. Some have called it the Nat "King" Cole Trio meets the Mills Brothers. Others have called it Fats Waller meets Fats Domino. Slim Galliard meets Fred Astaire. Its music from the ''20's to the '60's, all happening at the same time, woven into a seamless, beautiful whole.

Watched this because a friend told me it was the scariest movie she'd seen. Agree with the following review.
Quoted: Finally, a horror film that is aimed at adults, not your average teen-slasher film of the 80s and 90s with a script that let you figure out all of the major plot points within minutes of viewing. The script always stays several steps ahead of you and keeps you in a wonderful mixture of suspense that never fails to please. The first fifty minutes seem quite eerie, and it seems like nothing much happens, but after that, it is all thrown at you with full force. Utterly disturbing and dream-like, watching this film will relive your childhood nightmares of the bogeyman. The atmosphere is dark, creepy and intense.

Recommended. Saw this at the Tibet Festival.
Quoted: An excellent expose of Buddhist monk life. The intertwining of the ancient and the modern is delicate and heartwarming. In particular, this movie had once again reaffirmed me of how we, as human beings, are all somehow connected by threads. The purchase of the satellite dish, so that the younger monks can observe first hand a world wide social phenomenon, aptly represented by the World Cup of Football between France and Brazil, represents most eloquently that thread that lives within all of us.

Saw these guys (minus the bass player and drummer) tonight. Singer has a great voice, and the instrumentalist plays both piano and acoustic guitar. You can download their "Little By Little" album for free.
Jeff, the guitar/piano player, is currently a developer at Microsoft. He got his computer science degree after the band broke up.
Quoted: Sean and Jeff are playing a handful of "acoustic" shows in Seattle and the New York City area in August. It will feature alternate arrangements of HD tracks common and rare. Check the Calendar section for dates. more...

If you like tea, you must check this place out. The owner is very knowledgeable. She will sit at your table to help you brew the tea and share her knowledge of tea with you.
Quoted: We carry a small line of select artisan teas from China and Taiwan. Each of our teas has been chosen for its ability to inspire. Please enjoy exploring our collection of tea—from green tea to black tea, to white tea, oolong, and pu-erh tea.

Saw this last night. I liked it, but it didn't flow as "smoothly" as an episode. I think the style of humor works better in a cohesive 20-minute Simpsons episode that it does in a 90-minute movie. I still recommend it though.
Quoted: After Homer accidentally pollutes the town's water supply, Springfield is encased in a gigantic dome by the EPA and the Simpsons family are declared fugitives.
