I agree that the look of the interface is sort of a letdown.
Quoted: It feels smooth and fast, although the interface looks a bit dated and mixed. It kind of reminds me to a 1990s Windows desktop manager, specially next to the glossy, ultra-polished iPhone interface. However, there are certain aspects of it which are droolworthy, like the accelerometer-based Google Maps Streetview.

Quoted: My phone does the same thing, but, as the previous poster mentions, that plugging the usb connection to your pc resolves the issue

Anyone have experience with this phone?
Can't say I like the pseudo Qwerty keypad: http://laptopmag.com/News/Cell-Phones/T-Mobile-Shadow-First-Impressions.htm?page=2&image=1

Redotting. This seems very cool although I don't know if it will save me money in practice -- since I don't use all my 1000 minutes every month anyways.
Quoted: Here’s the basic idea. If you’re willing to pay $10 a month on top of a regular T-Mobile voice plan, you get a special cellphone. When you’re out and about, it works like any other phone; calls eat up your monthly minutes as usual.
..
But when it’s in a Wi-Fi wireless Internet hot spot, this phone offers a huge bargain: all your calls are free.

Quoted: With the latest update to the SlingMobile software, users of the HTC (T-Mobile) Dash and the Samsung (Cingular) BlackJack can now sling their media to and fro while on-the-go.

Quoted: This also means that things like the "Opera Browsers" and basic or old freeware might not be able to surf from your phone EVEN if it's only accessing a website through port 80. All these applications need to understand the "WAP PROXY" (on pda's and smartphones) or HTTP PROXIES (on sophistacted PDAs and notebooks)

I know some of you have been having problems with your mda's. Maybe this will help?
Quoted: T-Mobile just released their 2.26 update for the MDA on their official site. If you go to your my.t-mobile.com account, log in, click "support for MDA", then click on "System Upgrade", you'll be taken to the download site for their new upgrade.

The new HTC Touch Pro is beautiful. I love the differentiation from the iphone with the slide out keyboard and a focus on productivity apps that require keyboard such as email, appointments, tasks, etc. Looks well done. Id like to see a video of the interface.
