    AT&T rises to Microsoft's Surface

    Man, I wish there was one in Seattle -- would love to see how they're using it.

The big U.S. wireless provider says its retail customers will be able to place specific mobile phones on Surface's 30-inch screen to learn about features, accessories and rate plans. They also will be able to compare two phones at a time, and use their hands to navigate a high-tech wireless coverage map.[4] Customers can view interactive coverage maps at the national, state, local or street level, using simple touch and hand movement to scale and move the maps, determining a customer's coverage area.

    King5: Computer problem stops Space Needle fireworks show

    Ha Ha .. I didn't see this last night, but apparently the fireworks at the Space Needle had a glitch where it stopped suddenly due to a computer problem...and then the technicians manually had to restart the fireworks. This is the King5 Video of the event.

    FYI for anyone planning on traveling down South anytime soon---all of I-5 is closed between Grand Mound and Chehalis.

    Quoted: Flooding on Interstate 5 has forced the state to close the freeway to all traffic from Grand Mound, south of Olympia, to Chehalis. The main transportation artery from Portland to Canada was expected to be closed up to three days.

    RIAA Jury Finds Minnesota Woman Liable for Piracy, Awards $222,000 on Threat Level

    The jury favored the RIAA in this case, setting a bunch of legal precedents favoring the the industry. Argh.

    Quoted: Twelve jurors here said the Minnesota woman must pay $9,250 for each of 24 shared songs that were the subject of the lawsuit, amounting to $222,000 in penalties.
