We probably had the best meal in Moorea at our hotel restaurant -- K located in the Sofitel. For starters, the atmosphere is wonderfully romantic with everything lit by candles and tables on the sand in front of the water. The food was amazing and the service even more outstanding. Definitely recommend a dinner here.

We ended up checking out the Tiki Village Theater in Moorea which is a popular tourist thing to do. It's quite lengthy as pickup from the hotel was at 5:30pm and we didn't return til 11pm. It's an opportunity to see Tahitian culture--history of tatto, learn about pearls, watch dancing, how to put on pareo, tasting traditional food, how to open a coconut, etc. The dancing was definitely really cool to see--but honestly a lot of that dancing is often offered at hotel restaurants. Otherwise, it was okay. You can probably learn about all these things just by looking at this website. Would we do it again? No. Would we recommmend checking it out? Eh--if you have time. The dancing is really the only worthwhile aspect of it.

We ate at this restaurant on our 1st night in Moorea. Pretty casual atmosphere, decent food--they even offer Chinese cuisine. Free pick-up from your hotel. The only non-pate foie gras I had in Moorea.

While in Moorea, we did the "Apnea" program where we literally grabbed the dorsal fin of a dolphin as it took us for a swim underwater. It'll cost you an arm and a leg but it's a really fun and unique experience. One of the highlights of our trip.
Quoted: During our programs, you will not be talking to or swimming with dolphins per se, but rather, you will participate in an activity unique to French Polinesia: you will approach, pet and play with dolphins in the clear lagoon waters of Moorea’s InterContinental Hotel in French Polynesia. This represents a unique moment to be shared during your honeymoon at which time you will collect precious memories for years to come. Children will participate in a treasure hunt while discovering marine mammals and fauna of the Polynesian lagoons. They will then play with and pet one of our four dolphins as well as witness his or her acrobatics. Experienced swimmers and snorkelling buffs will experience new sensations as they swim while holding on to the fin of one of our dolphins. Our environmental approach has led us to propose a one-hour expedition of the coral reef, equipped with talking tubas, exploring its fauna and marine turtles. This educational expedition will conclude with the handing of a 'Citizen of the Ocean Passport', developed by the World Ocean Network. Download free dolphin pictures from our gallery.

We had lunch at this restaurant in Moorea. It's located on Cook's Bay and has an amazing view of the mountain. They're known for "feeding the sting rays" so there are sting rays constantly swarming in front of the restaurant in the water. I thought the food was okay but Matt thought it was excellent. Probably worth checking out though.

While we were in Moorea, we took this ATV tour and loved it. The guide, Manuel, is really nice and full of information. We did the "Raid Adventure" which included going up for a view from "Magic Mountain" which is definitely worth it. Definitely recommend seeing the island, plantations and viewpoints via ATV tour versus a jeep safari...loads of fun! They are located across from the Intercontinental and provide a free pickup from any hotel. They will also offer to take photos of you and send them to you via e-mail the next day for free!
