What timing---coincidentally, at the exact time those buses crashed at the corner of Melrose & Thomas last Friday, there was a "Virtual Reality" photographer right there, just doing his job to take another panoramic photo of Seattle from Capitol Hill.
Here is his blog entry about it--and following 2 really great panoramic images (from both sides of the buses) of the accident scene.

Funny---this guy decides to go on a Googlefast for 1 week: no gmail, no Google searches, no Google maps, etc. (aside from the Google Ads that he runs on his site). It's not out of hate for Google--in fact, he loves Google. He's just doing it to see if he can survive without Google and its services. Anyhow, read on for his explanation and then read how he's doing on Day 4: http://chris.pirillo.com/blog/_archives/2006/2/26/1784733.html -- there are links to the other days. Pretty amusing read.

(care of Andrej G.) Interesting read on how to prevent a "bozo explosion" in a company. Rather amusing in fact.
Quoted: This downward slide seems inevitable after a company achieves success--often during the years immediately following an IPO. The purpose of this article is to prevent, or at least postpone, this process in your company.

on the mayoral race in Seattle... this is truly the game changer:
Broadhead (winning candidate consultant): And this campaign was an eye-opener for me. If you gave me the choice, next cycle, of having the vote of the immigrant and refugee community in Seattle … and having, basically, the downtown checkbook, that would be a no-brainer for me. The immigrant and refugee committee … delivered votes for us.
