Tonight, Matt and I went to check out the new space that Osteria La Spiga moved to (Capitol Hill-ers will remember the old location next to the QFC on Broadway near Pike). It's now moved to this amazing loft location on 12th Ave., between Pike and Union. In addition to its space expanding big time, they've also added a number of things to their menu. On a Friday night, they were booked solid until 9pm but we were able to slip in and grab 2 seats at the bar where they also serve a full menu. First off, the decor was really amazing--modern, tall ceilings, beautiful architecture. The food was still as great as its previous location. We ordered a beef tenderloin cooked in white truffel oil and a butternut squash ravioli in a butter & sage light cream sauce: they were both outstanding. We were licking our lips afterwards! Highly recommend checking out their new location!

Which would you prefer, simplicity or extravagance? There are some who chooses simplicity over extravagance but the reason really depends on the characteristics possessed by the thing we are comparing.

My latest blog entry...

Corzine's record in New Jersey or Mayor Bloomberg's attempt to seek a third term in New York than I do about Gregoire and Rossi.
