    VR of crash that nearly sends buses plunging onto I-5

    What timing---coincidentally, at the exact time those buses crashed at the corner of Melrose & Thomas last Friday, there was a "Virtual Reality" photographer right there, just doing his job to take another panoramic photo of Seattle from Capitol Hill.

    Here is his blog entry about it--and following 2 really great panoramic images (from both sides of the buses) of the accident scene.

    FYI for anyone planning on traveling down South anytime soon---all of I-5 is closed between Grand Mound and Chehalis.

    Quoted: Flooding on Interstate 5 has forced the state to close the freeway to all traffic from Grand Mound, south of Olympia, to Chehalis. The main transportation artery from Portland to Canada was expected to be closed up to three days.

    Sheesh. It took this group 15 hours to drive from Seattle to Portland after the game last night.

    Quoted: "I think we went a couple of miles at about 55 miles per hour and then from there it was blow," he told KING5 News. "I called my wife at 3 (a.m.) and we were in Federal Way."
