Apparently, this is supposed to be a pretty scary book; so much so actually, that it prompted this question on AskMeFi: http://ask.metafilter.com/71030/Im-afraid-of-a-book.
I haven't read a work of fiction in quite some time, and I guess I have it narrowed down to this or The Ruins as to what will be my first foray into fiction again.

I now own this book, and it is fantastic.
It's a compilation of a bunch of artists' drawings and creations inspired by the heyday of gaming.
I can only hope they continue to put out more books of the same ilk.

Very well done.

This company puts out guides to major cities. And they're not just for tourists, hence the name. They contain everything from the city's transportation system to government infrastructure, along with the requisite shops and eateries.
There's no Dallas, but the other cities are most likely worth it.

This was one of the first things I saw on Lifehacker, and subsequently made me realize just how awesome Lifehacker is.
But really, this is a nifty DIY trick.
