This is a fascinating blog post that discusses how Pandora and Last.fm are both similar and different in their own rights, using the "nature versus nurture" argument to illustrate them.

A good read.

A book about the whole idea of "mass collaboration" a la Wikipedia and similar sites, and how it can present opportunities for companies to innovate and all that good stuff.

I heard a piece about it on NPR, and it sounds really interesting.

A site where anyone can simply post a list. Of anything.

You can track progress on the list, compare it others, etc.

Pretty cool.

This is a site built by the same guy who does FreshArrival.

Essentiall, you enter in your favorite restaurants, rate them, map them, etc. and then when you're hungry, you can easily look at what all there is to eat.

It also enables people to see what others eat in their areas. Still relatively new to the scene, it's impressive none the less.

*Sort of* like a quick and dirty version of AskMeFi, though not nearly as good. I can't really vouch for it, but I'm sure it's fun and easy.

"Find web sites with Ma.gnolia's social bookmarking online community. Organize bookmarks, search other people's favorites and make friends and contacts online."

Another social bookmarking site, though, as is apparent, I'm still sold on bluedot.

Their tagline: "6 million hours of video content. Search it all." Couldn't vouch for how well it works, but an interesting premise.
