These look decent, apparently are warm, and aren't incredibly expensive, so it would seem these could work for say, an outdoor hockey game?

I can't say I've actually had coffee from a French press, but something about them just seems alluring. I think it's the fact that you see everything happening right there in the carafe.

I suppose I can credit Alton Brown with making me want to do more with cast iron. I mean, what's not to like about them? They're black, heavy, a big chunk of metal, and last forever.

I haven't read a work of fiction in quite some time, and I guess I have it narrowed down to this or The Ruins as to what will be my first foray into fiction again.

This is a sure-to-be-interesting essay on Gamasutra about what those truly difficult games from yesteryear can teach us about game design, and how difficulty in videogames has changed over the years.

It's a long one, but a great topic.

This came highly recommended by a co-worker. Seems interesting.

NPR did a piece with the authors of this book, and it seems really cool. The photography is supposed to be amazing, and the accompanying CD would also be very interesting.

This site has a fair amount of decent wallpapers, including some really nice looking dual monitor ones.

Kind of minimalist, bleak sort of stuff, but cool nonetheless.
