That's something that you'd only genuinely say if you were moderately to very religious, which most of the candidates never are. I think they always think they have to say it to seem like "they got religion too," which is dumb.
Quoted: At the beginning of 2007 there were 38 things candidates could mention in public that wouldn't be considered damaging to their campaigns, but now they are mostly limited to 'Thank you all for coming,' and 'God bless America,'" ...

Funny stuff. But come on, anything less than $50K is just sexist.

Lots of buzz over Britney's bombed performance at the MTV music awards. The best part is seeing the looks on the faces of the other musicans in the audience. She seems really slow, probably due to that giant paunch. Oh, and nice matted-down hair. Gross.

McSweeney's is kind of like Slate, but even more irreverent and clever...writers like these are what make writers like me want to cry and slit their wrists at the same time. Consider my dotting this a gift to you. Consider this dot worth 20. Especially this article "I don't know what the big deal about having a baby is." Perfection...right down to the Zack Morris reference. A writer who knows her evolution AND her Saved by the Bell!!!
