The River Kwai Jungle Raft is a wonderful place of quiet hammocks, friendly people and history. If you're visiting Thailand, take a tip from a local and spend some days there. If you can't handle living without hot showers, join the tourist flocks elsewhere.
As for getting there, I recommend this cheap, friendly tour for those wanting to visit Kanchanaburi, a province 3 hours from Bangkok, Thailand.

I was just thinking that yesterday's blizzard must've been a real bummer for East Coast retailers. Fortunately, the roads are clean today! But I bet the malls are going to be mobbed...
1 FaverViewed: 2 TimesQuoted: The last Saturday of shopping before Christmas is snowed out on most of the East Coast by blizzard-like conditions that stretched from the Carolinas to the New England states.
