I studied at the University Book Store Cafe yesterday; they have a cute new seating area with a fireplace and free internet. The bookstore is only open till 9PM though, so i ended up cutting my study session short. The best part about studying there was that I could take a break and do a little shopping.

I used to be a regular at this place during undergrad, it kind of shocked me to see George the old waiter cooking at the stoves, but he actually did a great job. The wait for a table or even take out is long so be prepared for that, my favorite dishes are the yellow curry chicken, curry chicken fried rice, their swimming rama is also pretty good...the fried tofu is a great starter...you have to try this hole in the wall if you're craving Thai in the udistrict.

Went to Thai 65 for dinner tonight...decent food...cute traditional eating area...I had the basil fried rice which was pretty good (ask for extra limes, they're kind of stingy with them)...it's not as good as Thai Tom, but at least you don't have to wait in the bitter cold forever for a table...Plus...I just found a coupon as I was looking for their site...$3 bucks off 2 dinners and 2 drinks...(not much of a deal but whatever)

Went to this cooking school during my last day in bangkok. Amazing expereince- it was kind of a splurge but really worth it. We learned how to make 4 courses, included mausaman curry, my favorite! can't wait to try it when I get home!
