"Sarah “The Cheese Lady” is a nationally recognized cheese sculptor. Why cheese? “If you were born and raised in Wisconsin, surrounded by dairy cows, cheese factories and people who wear orange triangle hats as high fashion, you might think it would just seem…natural!” Sarah received a degree in Commercial Art in Madison, WI and worked for the Wisconsin dairy industry for 16 years. That’s where her natural-born “Cheddar Head” talents were honed and perfected...." ☺☼☺ ( SarahCheeseLady.com)

One solo exhibition in particular, at the Whitney Museum of American Art in New York City (1978), was influential in establishing Hanson as one of the leading sculptors of the late twentieth century.."☺ ☹

"I was born in Brooklyn NY 1958, grew up on LI and presently live Upstate with my husband of 30 years John. The art of drawing with pencil has been a major part of my life for over 40 years. I started out drawing from life, as the years passed my drawings became more detailed and took longer to finish. Today most all of my work takes anywhere from 20-80 hours so I work primarily from reference photos. I'm self taught and strive for realism in each piece using only graphite pencils.... " ☺ ☹

Country of Origin: United States - Brian Despain works with imaginary yet recognizable modern landscapes, but populates his world with seemingly self aware and melancholy robots. His work blends the natural world with technology with a slightly morbid slant. Skulls, machinery, and birds provide the forefront for a seemingly arcane number system the artist employs in all his work. His rich and somber color palettes of post apocalyptic ochres, deep blues, and steel greys belie and hidden warmth and dark humor within his work...." ☺ ☹
