Would love to go here ...
Quoted: The Plečnik Collection is kept at a separate location of the Architecture Museum of Ljubljana, consisting of a complex of Plečnik’s houses at 4–6 Karun Street and an adjacent garden with a lapidarium. The architect Jože Plečnik moved to a single-storey house at 4 Karun Street in 1921. From 1923 to 1925 he expanded it with a cylindrical annex to the west and a winter garden to the south after he bought the neighbouring building in 1929.

I was so impressed today with Persian illuminated manuscripts. Some showed these playful mythological characters, all hand-drawn and incredibly ornate.
Quoted: This exhibition offers a rare and intimate glimpse of the treasures in a private collection. It celebrates the unique beauty of illuminated manuscripts across chronological, geographic, and cultural boundaries.

Innovative projects by Chinese architects. I like this one especially: Pingod Sales Center / Art Museum by Atelier Feichang Jianzhu.
Quoted: while firms from around the world are delightedly helping China push its design boundaries, the country's own young architects may be the most interesting to watch.

Just visited this installation yesterday evening. It is incredibly fun! A slow-moving animation is projected across a dark room, creating subtly changing walls of light out of floating dust. Sometimes if feels like being inside a tunnel with walls that you can walk or even swim through.
Quoted: Anthony McCall and Imi Knoebel both have used deceptively simple projections with strikingly complex effects. You and I, Horizontal (2005), a digital projection — and recent SFMOMA acquisition — by McCall, draws on his 1970s-era solid-light film installations to create an engaging experience of light as a three-dimensional beam and wall animation.

Samples from the current Hélio Oiticica exhibition at Tate Modern. I like this box!
Quoted: Oiticica produced a remarkable body of work throughout his career, from abstract compositions to early environmental installations, in which he continually sought to challenge the way in which art could be experienced.

Apparently it is the 40th anniversary of the Summer of Love. This site offers a small glimpse of life around Golden Gate Park during that era, but I wonder if there are any good documentaries on this?
Quoted: Unconventional appearance, music, drugs, communitarian experiments, and sexual liberation were hallmarks of the sixties counterculture...

The end of my "Four Fun Things" series!
2 FaversViewed: 3 TimesQuoted: Let's make our way downtown – a part of the city we Seattleites sometimes forget to appreciate. But every once in a while, it’s nice to feel the bustle of a crowd … and of course, you can’t let your visitors leave Seattle without hitting up these four spots:
