AVG FREE 7.5 is set to retire on 31st of August and everyone would have to upgrade to AVG FREE 8. However, there are a lot of reports saying that AVG 8 is heavy on memory usage. Here is my advice.

If you're using AVG FREE 8, I suggest you to switch to another free antivirus called Rising Antivirus which I've tested and found to be better than AVG in detection against unknown virus and trojan.
