This guy has built many MANY FX pedals.
Quoted: If you have moderately decent soldering skills and can follow directions, there's no reason you can't build your own guitar effects pedals!

This standard set of chord changes is a requirement for the improvising jazz musician. I'm working on it now since I'll be playing "Oleo" (by Sonny Rollins using these chords) with a pianist this week.

Welcome to the lesson page. One of the main reasons for putting up this web site is to be able to share jazz guitar lesson materials. Several PDF lessons are posted below. I will be adding more as time goes by, so be sure and check back often.
At the bottom of this page, I have included a list of music books that have been most helpful to me. Be sure to check the links page for other artist web sites that share lesson materials.

roberthd | Shared With: Everyone - Mar 11 2009 | music, guitar, jazzI left a portable recorder running at our rehearsal last Saturday. It was pointing straight at my amp so I'm too loud on the recording. Sorry.
We'll be playing at RMI this Thursday night and you're welcome to drop by and give us a listen...there's no cover
roberthd | Shared With: Everyone - Feb 17 2009 | music, guitar, jazz, recordingThis is a version of Triste by Jobim that I recorded on a PC. The rhythm is a Martin acoustic, the bass is a Warwick Stage I, the drums and piano are software synthesizers, and the solo is a Guild archtop through a mic'ed Fender tube amp.
