Another plastic cover/shield. Covers entire case, which is a bit unusual.
Quoted: The invisibleSHIELD™ is the premier name in handheld device protection. Made from a urethane film originally used to protect the leading edges of military helicopter blades, the invisibleSHIELD is clear, durable, and virtually scratch-proof. The invisibleSHIELD is precision cut to fit your BlackBerry 8100 Pearl, giving it perfectly contoured protection that other screen protectors can't match.

I wonder if these are any good. Seems pretty thin. Might be better for a device like an iPod.

I think these are the best screen protectors made. They are stiffer than others, so they're easier to get on properly, and they don't peel. I have had one of these last a year of abuse in my pocket, compared with a few months with the thinner protectors. The transparent backing with a grid on makes it easy to cut it to the right size. Cutting them is easy, so buy the universal ones for more flexibility.
To apply without getting fingerprints on the glue, bend the backing halfway, starting from the top (where it's separated). Fold the backing over and, since the protector is stiff, it will stick out, rather than flopping over. Put that end down at one end of your screen, then press down with the squeegee card and peel the backing away as you go forward.
I'm dotting this one because it has the best picture of the protectors themselves, but Amazon may not be the best place to get them. And here they're labeled as "Body Glove" but they're actually made by Fellowes. I bought mine at Radio Shack.

LAPTOPS are sometimes more convenient than desktop computers, but they can generate a lot of heat. After it sits on a bed, a sofa or a lap for an extended period of time, a notebook computer can become uncomfortably hot, even dangerous.

I agree that the look of the interface is sort of a letdown.
1 FaverViewed: 10 TimesQuoted: It feels smooth and fast, although the interface looks a bit dated and mixed. It kind of reminds me to a 1990s Windows desktop manager, specially next to the glossy, ultra-polished iPhone interface. However, there are certain aspects of it which are droolworthy, like the accelerometer-based Google Maps Streetview.
