"The game Star Wars fans have been waiting for has finally being announced for the Wii. Making full use of the Wiimote technology, 'Lightsaber Duels' will feature destructible environments with Clone Wars-era characters and plenty of laser swords. Though the Clone Wars were more filled with lightsabers than other times in Star Wars history, setting the scene in that era also sadly means no Darth Vader or Luke Skywalker."

Hahaha... this sounds awesome. Can't wait for the youtube videos.

    Playing the Fool - WSJ.com

"When the companies entered into their partnership in 2001, Sony, Toshiba and IBM committed themselves to spending $400 million over five years to design the Cell... In late 2002, Microsoft approached IBM about making the chip... Microsoft was interested and contracted with IBM for their own chip, to be built around the core that IBM was still building with Sony... So Microsoft actually got the chip that Sony helped design before Sony did."

First Xbox 360 Community Games to hit Live "immediately" - Engadget

"It wasn't all Zune gaming at Microsoft's GDC keynote this morning -- a lot of time was spent discussing Community Games, the new official name for XNA-based games. Amateur devs will get "creator identities" along with their gamertags, and Live members can rate, grade, and discuss your efforts. Of course, as we've heard, games can move from the 360 to PCs to second-gen Zunes, which is definitely pretty cool..."

Been a long time in the making. The 3 platform trick is pretty neat too. Gonna go try it on my 360 now...

New Crazy Taxi screenshots get wet - PSP Fanboy

"Crazy Taxi: Fare Wars is coming to PSP in just a few weeks: August 14th, to be precise. Sega recently sent us some screenshots showcasing some of the crazier environments you'll be driving in the upcoming PSP revival. We won't comment on the graphics this time around -- we'll leave that up to you. At the very least, we hope the game will maintain the same fun and charm of the Dreamcast originals."

I want this for my PSP! Doesn't have great graphics, but I love the gameplay.

Neowin.net - Parallel Processing Wants PS3's Impounded and Destroyed

"Parallel Processing Corp. is asking a federal court to order Sony to destroy its PlayStation 3 videogame consoles, which PPC claims infringes on its patents for microprocessor technology... The suit claims that the cell processor, developed by Sony, Toshiba, and IBM, violates PPC's patent for "synchronized parallel processing with shared memory." ... Because of the alleged infringement, PPC is seeking damages and wants all PlayStation 3s "impounded and destroyed.""

Wow, wouldn't Sony be in shit if the courts agreed lol.

360 gets Scene-It, new simple controller - Xbox 360 Fanboy

"Microsoft evidently has taken notice, and announced during its E3 press conference that an Xbox 360 version of the movie trivia game, Scene-It is in the works. In addition to featuring new interactive features, more puzzles, clips, and questions, the Xbox 360 version will also include a new controller. The controller design is (shockingly) very, very simple. "

About time. More, I want more of this Microsoft!

    Engadget & Joystiq live from Sony's E3 2007 keynote - Engadget

A lot of their strategy hinges on the Home environment, and it is very amazing, especially the mobile phone integration where a photo taken on the phone can be sent to Home and appear on your virtual apartment's wall.

But is that what gamers want, a living-room version of Second Life?

    Engadget & Joystiq live from Nintendo's E3 2007 keynote - Engadget

Oooh...Super Mario Galaxy! Sometimes I wonder why I bought a 360 and not a Wii...hopefully when Banjo returns on the 360 it'll fix that.

Love what they're doing to add to the physical interaction aspect of the device with the Wii Fit.

    Keep it up Nintendo!

World In Conflict: why I still play games - istartedsomething

"There are games where you have to watch the high definition trailer to appreciate, and there’s the game where you know it’s a winner just by reading the back-story. You drive cars (and motorbikes), “Project Gotham Racing 4“, is the former. The war comes home, “World In Conflict“, is the latter...I’m running the game on medium graphics setting for smoother gameplay and it is still absolutely gorgeous to look at, can’t imagine what “Very High” and a DirectX 10 graphics card could do."

Wow, if I ever get into serious gaming again, that's what I'd be playing. Looks bloody awesome!

Neowin.net - EA's CEO John Riccitiello: 'We're boring people to death'

"In April, Electronic Arts Incorporated, the world's biggest maker of videogames, hired a chief executive who isn’t just satisfied with his company being number one... the industry make too many games that lack innovation. "We're boring people to death and making games that are harder and harder to play. For the most part, the industry has been rinse-and-repeat. There's been lots of product that looked like last year's product, that looked a lot like the year before.""

So true. Hence my 360 hasn't been on in months. Why I bought it I have no idea.
