"Now this is a service we can get behind! Fonolo serves one purpose and one purpose alone: Kill phone trees... Simply select a point on the chart (likely “speak with a customer service rep” down near the bottom) and Fonolo will call the company for you. It will automatically navigate the menus and then ring your phone once it has reached the point you specified. Best of all, it’s free!"
Interesting. Can they replace the on-hold music without something vaguely likeable as well?
samuel337 | Shared With: Everyone - 22 days ago | user experience, customer service"Zappos is known for service…and for letting their service agents “be themselves”. I put this to the test tonight and threw a curveball or two at the guy helping me in a Live Chat. I used the name “Timmy” as my alias and asked a totally random question about a random product. See actual chat log below. Zappos rocks! I could not even make this stuff up, I swear."
Found this hilarious - if only customer service was like this all the time. Sucks that shipping + exchange rate makes it unviable here.
