"Asia has a lot of people. About 4 billion asians make up about 60% of the world’s population. So it is common knowledge that asian countries have little to no personal space and must get used to living in a very crowded environment."

Check out the video of a wave pool in Japan. Oh the poor people, they have to pay to experience waves, and even then, they're packed like sardines in the pool...

OGC unveils new logo to red faces - Telegraph

"The logo, for the Office of Government Commerce, was intended to signify a bold commitment to the body’s aim of “improving value for money by driving up standards and capability in procurement”. Instead, it has generated howls of mirth and what is likely to be a barrage of teasing emails from mandarins in other departments. "

People have such sick minds these days :)

"A US woman is suing American Airlines for failing to protect her after another passenger allegedly masturbated near her on a recent flight... Her $200,000 lawsuit alleges that she awoke on the flight to Los Angeles to find "a substantial amount of an extremely sticky substance in her hair" and a man next to her masturbating. "

I find this hard to believe (no pun intended). This guy must have been really blatant if it was in her hair. Maybe she was 'helping him out' and somehow things turned sour...

Geeks Exchange Expertise For Dates - Rent-A-Nerd

"Forget about geeks not getting dates! The Linux Users Group at Washington State University put their clever minds together and came up with the nerd exchange... “You can buy a nerd and he’ll fix your computer, help you with stats homework, or if you’re really adventurous, take you to dinner,” the group president said. The group is soliciting help from sororities in an attempt to spruce up their image. Unfortunately, no one has taken the bait and they have yet to put their epic challenge to the test."

LOL... right. If the guys were smart, they'd get the last laugh by installing a timebomb when 'fixing' other computers, which only gets disabled when they get what they want :)

"Blogger Jacob Grier discovers what Wikipedia calls "the least known stapling method": pinning. If you rotate the plate on the bottom of your stapler, it will bend staples outward instead of inward to fasten things temporarily. Easily remove a pinned staple by pulling it along the plane of the document."

Holy moly - so that's what that's for!!! And it works too, suprisingly enough.

"Pitzer College this fall began offering what may be the first course about the video-sharing site. About 35 students meet in a classroom but work mostly online, where they view YouTube content and post their comments... Alexandra Juhasz, a media studies professor at the liberal arts college, said she was "underwhelmed" by the content on YouTube... She hopes the course will raise serious issues about YouTube, such as the role of "corporate-sponsored democratic media expression."

WTF! As they say, it can only happen in America...

"A Chinese government-sponsored online game that allows players to learn government anti-corruption measures and to kill corrupt officials and their bikini-clad mistresses has been overwhelmed by user demand. The Ningbo Haishu District Discipline Commission in Zhejiang province launched "Incorruptible Warrior" on July 25 and had reportedly attracted more than 10,000 players by August 1."

LOL, wow, the cultural difference is quite surprising - the govt authorised this? I'd love it if our govt did; would make a great game :)

iPhone bill unboxed by i-Justine - Engadget

"For those new iPhone owners who have been wearing that touchscreen keyboard out by sending as many texts as your thumbs can muster, you've probably been greeted by an unexpectedly large box from your neighborhood carrier. For Justine, that meant receiving "over 300 pages" of detailed billing from AT&T that spelled out every single SMS (and call, we presume) sent and received."

LOL, that's funny as - comes in a box! The greenies must be jumping up and down, fuming :)

electro^plankton: When Is A Wii Not A Wii?

"The Piss-Screen - a pressure-sensitive inlay set within urinals, enabling users to play while they pee. They installed this newfangled creation in male restrooms across Frankfurt, teaming up with a variety of bars, clubs and cafés... The player could then control the car whilst relieving himself – if they wanted the car to go right, they simply peed to the right (and visa versa). "

Lol, amazing what people come up with. Be great when you first break the seal :)

Cell Phone Zit Cures - Combat Acne-Causing Electromagnetic Waves (GALLERY)

"Acne caused by cell phones is becoming a more and more common reason for breakouts on the jaw-line. Not only do most people not clean their mobiles on a daily basis to remove oil and makeup build-up, but they are also subjecting themselves to electromagnetic waves. The damaging effects include the destruction and weakening of skin cells... Beauty companies on top of this emerging trend have started to pump out products to target cause for zits."

What will they think of next... you gotta give the marketers credit for finding new 'problems' though.
