The standards vs. proprietary debate has popped up again (see the linked post as well). I think they're complementary really, another tool in the toolbox. It would be interesting to see the adoption rates of languages other than Javascript in Silverlight. I wonder why no one just creates an IE plugin to cater for its shortcomings - is that possible?

Hmm... not very impressive, even for a Beta. Looked good, but it doesn't work on multi-monitor setups, freezes when submitting bug reports, doesn't resize the web page properly when the window resizes, doesn't have tooltips (WTF is the bug button doing on my toolbar!), not to mention no extensions...
I'm sticking with IE (if only Firefox played nicer with memory...)

This can’t just extract your entire browsing history, since it needs a predefined set of URLs to test - thanks to ajax, however, thousands, even tens of thousands of URLs can be tested in a matter of seconds."
Bloody sneaky trick. Never thought of using JS that way, but it definitely works, and many may argue needs to for scripting purposes and flexibility.
