"We took 24 256GB Samsung MLC SSD's and put them in RAID to make this awesome computer! See how we did it, and what the results were!"

Pretty cool stuff, wouldn't mind them in my computer at all. Just wished they used a redundant RAID setup so they can yank out random drives and see how it recovers :)

Linux-based Zonbox offers up subscription based computing - Engadget

"Zonbu's Zonbox is a SFF PC with a Linux OS and a minuscule pricetag that requires users to simply fork over $12.95 per month in order to keep their operating system and "$2,000 worth of applications" fully patched and up to date."

Not so sold on the subscription thing, given all this is free software anyway and easily upgradable, but damn, these boxes would make great media servers, car PCs, NASs, media centres, signage computers, anything with specific functions really... I want one!
