"VIA's new ARTIGO A2000 is a low-power barebones masquerading as a miniscule server. The squat PC features a 1.5GHz VIA C7-D CPU atop the company's VX800 chipset, a whopping single slot for DDR2 RAM (up to 2GB), two 3.5-inch SATA II drive bays, bootable CF support, gigabit Ethernet (as well as an optional 802.11b/g module)..."
Could well be my next NAS, if I don't build my own. I'm tired of having to cross-compile things for ARM-based NASes, which most are these days.

"Dash Express users are about to receive a software update and it’s a doozy... one of the key features included in this update is called MyRoute. Dash recognizes that users often know shortcuts that may not be recommended by the GPS unit. As such, the Dash Express can now record your route to your destination and save it as an available routing option along with the recommended Dash route and a third detour-route option."
Pretty neat. Be even better if you could somehow submit it and help enhance the routing engine. Nevertheless, it'll be years before we get something like this anyway :(

"Introducing Dash Express, the first two-way, Internet-connected GPS navigation system. Dash delivers traffic and destination information in exciting new ways, and offers a wide range of new capabilities available from the car that makes a typical GPS practically obsolete. Dash is the smartest way to get from A to B, and find everything in between."
Seriously, watch the intro video. This is what a GPS should be. Blows the existing TomTom, Navman, Garmin offerings right out of the water. Of course, it's US only right now :(

"Chumby has finally completed and rolled out a somewhat massive firmware update for the plush lil' buggers that adds significant functionality -- significant enough, in fact, that they're now being sold disclaimer-free to all comers."
Except they're not shipping overseas, so the only option is ebay. WTF! I want one, mainly because it's the only decent alarm clock I can find that looks and works well. The other features are a bonus.

"Eye-fi is a magical orange SD memory card that will not only store 2GB worth of pictures, it'll upload them to your computer, and to Flickr, Facebook, Picasa (or 14 others) wirelessly, invisibly, automatically! This little guy looks like a normal 2GB memory card and works with nearly any camera that takes SD memory. There are no antennas, no protrusions, no subscription fees, and no cables."
Damn that's tiny - SD memory, microprocessor, and a wireless radio all in an SD card! Great idea, although digital cameras with wifi built in still haven't been a big success yet.
