It's a slide! This is what we MSN producers get out of bed for. Go Shiwani! By the way, if you're like me and your all time favorite Mister Rogers episode was when Picture Picture shows a tour of the crayon factory and we see an orange crayon get made -- that's on page two. It's awesome!

Thanks! I knew you'd appreciate the Mr. Rogers shout-out...

Excellent! And fun. We remember the Crayola Factory and Hershey's ... we'll have to seek out some more local factory tours now.

An old-world sense of wonder - MSN City Guides

Yay, my friend Pam's article is up on MSN today!

Quoted: So far this century has been a sleek and shiny age marked by clean lines and minimalist décor (Apple store, anyone?) While white plastic gadgets have captured many a heart, sometimes I long for a time when clutter was a sign of abundance and extravagance was king.

Oh I hope they reopen it! One of my favorite memories is climbing up the Statue of Liberty as a kid - esp. during the centennial year... so cool.

Quoted: The National Park Service is considering reopening the Statue of Liberty’s crown, which has been closed since the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks.

Going from tour guide neophyte to true Seattleite - Examiner.com

My latest blog post (I admit it, I have a weird obsession with the Fremont Troll).

Quoted: Don't get me wrong - I enjoy watching fish being hurled through the air at Pike Place Market, I giggle like I’m in on a secret when I see the scantily clad mermaid on the original Starbucks logo, and I would love to take a picture where it looks like I'm touching the top of the Space Needle with one finger.

The Mecca of Mouse: Five days of Disney - Slate Magazine

Ha, one of Slate's writers (a childless adult, mind you) conducts an 'experiment' where he fully immerses himself in Disney for 5 days straight. a.) What a great way to get a free vacation, and b.) What a hilarious concept for an article.

Quoted: Why on earth would I, a childless adult, visit Disney World by myself? Basically, to figure out what the hell's going on in this place. Because America has clearly decided it's hallowed ground.
