I'm glad to see Coldplay's doing something adventurous - I always thought they were a really talented band but were kind of slipping into the same sound on every album. Looking forward to checking this out!
Quoted: Close listeners will notice something strange about "Violet Hill," the new Coldplay single: It isn't a Coldplay single. That term implies certain things about the shape a song will take, what it will sound like, what it will achieve.

I had no idea that 'Stairway to Heaven' was such a sore topic for Led Zeppelin. I could definitely see why it would be frustrating for such a prolific band to be defined by just one song, though.
Quoted: Led Zeppelin is reuniting for a one-off charity gig in London on Dec. 10. While there are still many obstacles to a Zeppelin tour, the most vexing may be that Robert Plant will have to overcome his reluctance to sing the song that has done the most damage to the band. Yes, "Stairway to Heaven."
