BBC NEWS | South Asia | Indian state bans sex education

Not the wisest move in a country with the highest number of AIDS patients in the world. Other Indian states have passed similar bans. This is just one more reason why Mumbai has the higest rate of AIDS infection in India (5 times that of Kolkata).

Quoted: The Indian state of Maharashtra bans sex education in schools, after legislators say the move will corrupt young minds.

banning education...never a good idea. Just hypothesizing but I think the young minds are already "corrupted".

If you don't know how sex works how do you know how to avoid getting AIDs? Not informing them when they live where they live is borderline abuse.
